RSA Authentication Manager 8.0

Many companies have begun to make a shift toward a virtual environment. One of the main reasons that this is happening is the emerging effort to cut costs while still increasing efficiency. RSA’s new Authentication Manager 8.0 platform does just that, while deploying risk-based authentication along both hardware and software applications.

The way RSA Authentication Manager works is that it takes a note of the location, time, and type of device that a user is logging in from, and where they have gained access from in the past. If it flagged as ‘High Risk’ then the user will have to verify their login and show additional proof of identity.  This is called RBA, or Risk-Based Authentication, which will allow for companies to significantly increase their security. RBA offers end user convenience by preserving the familiar username/password logon experience as well. RSA AM 8.0 protects against the most common access portals for most companies such as SSL VPNs, Web Portals, Outlook Web Access (OWA), and Microsoft SharePoint environments.

In summary, if you are looking to move your company’s infrastructure to a more virtualized environment and want to make sure the access to critical information is protected and secure from unwanted users, than RSA’s Authentication Manager 8.0 is the right product for you.
