New Check Point 2012 Appliance Models

Check Point has announced their new line of appliances on October 5, 2011 and they’ve already begun shipping. These new appliances provide up to triple the security performance of their predecessors. In addition, they have introduced more flexibility to implement additional network ports to even the mid-level appliances.

One of the greatest benefits will be the ability to integrate security features into a single appliance, rather than implementing point solutions or additional hardware in order to gain access to new functionality and enhance an organizations security posture.

Based on the appliance comparison sheet that Check Point has published, the throughput numbers across the board reveals the power of multi-coring processing and show great promise for the ability to utilize even more software blades on a single appliance or cluster. View the appliance comparison sheet in the link below. The breadth of available blades in conjunction with the new appliances will provide customers with greater flexibility than ever before to take advantage of additional functionality.
